Meet Adan, Integrity Fencing’s IT expert. When Adan first came to the company he was working in the supply yard on inventory management. When owner Shawn Beard learned of Adan’s unique and valuable skill set beyond the supply yard, he proposed to move him into a different department. While safety is paramount when working with heavy equipment and large pieces of lumber in a supply yard, there’s another area of a company’s operations that needs safety oversight as well: the digital side of things. See how Adan rounds out the Integrity Fencing team while providing a much needed safety factor for day-to-day operations.
What role do you fill at Integrity Fencing?
The role I play at Integrity Fencing is IT/cyber security specialist. Although I have a background in construction, Shawn moved me to the office to make better use of my cyber security and computer knowledge within the company.
What’s a project you are working on that you’re excited about?
The project I had the most pride in was training end users in what to look out for in malicious emails and on websites. I also implemented PishER into our Office 365 setup. This tool allows users to report suspicious emails, scans links and attachments, and removes reported malicious emails from all users’ mailboxes within the company. These measures help to maintain trust between the company and our customers because it prevents malicious attackers from accessing and releasing sensitive information such as payment information and addresses.
What would you like people to know about Integrity Fencing?
I would like people to know that the company truly lives up to its name. We emphasize standing behind the quality of our product from the materials used to the structural integrity of the fences built.
What do you like about working for Integrity Fencing?
What I like about working at Integrity is who I get to work with. I get along great with everyone and there is never a dull day.
What do you like to do outside of work?
Outside of work I train in Muay Thai and I enjoy the whole process from the fight camps to the fights themselves.
