On Saturday, April 6, seven employees of Integrity Fencing weren’t constructing fences or decks. They weren’t in the supply yard picking up inventory. Instead, it was their day off. But they chose to spend their time volunteering together in the community, a shared core value of the company.

Integrity Fencing organized this community outreach through Red Rocks Church, who routinely partners with the Denver Dream Center for their program called “Adopt a Block“. The Adopt a Block program takes place on the first and third Saturday of every month and the Denver Dream Center serves food, plays games, and distributes donations.

On this particular Saturday, Integrity Fencing staff volunteered in the West Colfax neighborhood of Denver, specifically serving residents of the WestRidge Apartments. The weather wasn’t favorable for outdoor setup, so the group stayed inside the Mulroy Senior Center for the duration.

Staff contributed to the clothing donations and helped set up donation tables and facilitated handing out clothing. They also brought sports equipment to play with the neighborhood kids, offering face painting and finger-painting crafts, and cooked lunch for everyone.

In 2024, Integrity Fencing began a new volunteer incentive program for their staff. The company will pay an employee up to 16 hours a year to volunteer in the community. It’s part of Integrity Fencing President Shawn Beard’s life and core values that he likes to share and encourage within his team. The result is a better-connected team, and a community who receives much needed resources and support.
